Hello...
Scott did a little better than yesterday on trying to come off the ventilator. So that is encouraging at the same time it is disappointing.
So today gets to be another day of taking it easy and resting..
He was with the "original" nurse last night. Maria is the one that really reached out and cared for Scott and made the phone calls to us originally. It is just another example of how much care and tenderness that the nurses have. They are wonderful loving and caring people.
He is still in critical condition, and in the ICU. We have not had any conversations with him and very limited communication
(expressive eyes, random hand squeezes). We believe that he knows that we are there and can hear / comprehend what we are saying.
Slow and patient...
